We live in a world of perpetual thunder
With emotions of fire and hearts torn asunder
Where everything beautiful dies in the end
And the lines of our lives break when they bend
And it’s hard to believe in the powers above
With no evidence of caring and no proof of the love.
We live in a world where truth is an illusion
And we are being guided with fear and confusion
And it’s my generation that’s left standing alone
With no one to have faith in and not place to call home
We have lost our vision and it is no wonder
Because we live in a world of perpetual thunder.
